Lavina Arlotta Jeter grew up in Fort Worth, Texas. Although, she and her brother were born in Pennsylvania. While attending NWOSU and getting her biology degree she learned to scuba dive. After college she moved to Dallas/ Richardson, Texas. Lavina was a tenant/ buyers agent for commercial real estate; primarily with medical professionals at Pizel & Associates Commercial Real Estate.

She became a Dive Master and her husband is a Dive Instructor. From Port Aransas and Corpus Christi, Texas they ran dive charters out to the oil rig platforms in the Gulf of Mexico.
They chose ROATAN – after much research of Caribbean islands. On January 21, 2015 they were featured on the show
‘Caribbean Life’. They found their forever home and opened Papaya Place Divers Inn and Bottom Time Scuba.
